Map 11 (650 sq km) landhold in the northern foothills of the Eastern Kiso Mountains in the Eastern Desert (several thousand kilometers west of Hilo), plus 2600 sq km property surrounding the landhold, and numerous industrial, commercial, and residential properties on planet and in the stellar system.

**Southeastern University:** the beautiful 97 ha campus is located in Evansville, a suburb of Hilo, and includes housing, recreation, libraries, museums, theaters, temples, shrines, radio and television stations, and media studios. The school uses its eleven billion ryu endowment, managed by a board of trustees, to fund the co-ed undergraduate to PhD programs for as many as twenty thousand students studying at the liberal arts college, the science and technology college, the arts college, vocational schools, and sports and athletics programs. The school has very high research activity and is home to the Center for Interdisciplinary Exploration and Research which supports fifteen hundred research laboratories and has co-op programs with prominent corporations across Nejiro. The alma mater will celebrate its centenary in 3070.
