Note: at ~6 months old this was not literally a first-birthday party, but it was the family's formal public presentation of Yasha and likely what's remembered as such. Held at the Governor's Palace Receiving Hall, Yousai, the evening of Sunday 20 May 3069. Saganami Household Guard in full samurai dress armor stood at the main entrance; NPO and other security were present in dress uniform throughout. Meiyo wore a red kimono with the Saganami kamon and Nejiro-native flowers; Jack wore black with the kamon in black thread. Yasha himself was dressed in blue and gold bearing the Saganami kamon, the Nejiro planetary flag, and the crests of the MSAW, NPO, NFB, and Nejiro Militia. The centerpiece of the evening was Tai-sho Tanaka Kei presenting Yasha's personal Escort/Honor Guard on behalf of "the Dragon" (the DCA): sixteen female Marines who had served with or under Meiyo and took demotions to form this unit, backed by eight Raiden and eight Kage battle armor suits painted in Saganami colors. The unit's leader, Chu-i Hein, and the others knelt and pledged themselves to "protect the mistress's son." Named members include Kashira Tuyn, Shujin Suzume, Shujin Emi, and Shujin Kelea (Kage Light Battle Armor). Press coverage was split. Nejiro News 1 and HBC covered it favorably. The tabloids Dark Warrior News (Dakuu-orianyusu) and Shin no Wadopuresu (True Word Press) framed it as a propaganda spectacle staged by Meiyo (the "She-Demon") at public expense.
