# Basic Information The Kiiro no Hoshi 5467 stellar system has two asteroid belts, the Naiba Showakusei-tai and the Sotugawa Showakusei-tai with millions of rocky bodies rich in metal and mineral resources, several trojan asteroid clusters, a kuiper belt with thousands of planetoids and dwarf planets - of which several dozen are claimed as Nejiroan Crown Lands in reserve for future resource needs, and an oort cloud which originates several Nejiroan meteor showers and comets.  There are a plethora of mining outposts, and science stations based on asteroids, moons, planets, habitats, and space stations throughout the system each with a few dozen to a few thousand personnel. Each may contain command, emergency response, security, law enforcement, military, resident quarters, markets, armoury, recreation, banking, assaying, weapons,  processesing, laboratories, research projects, shops, inns, repair facilities, medical, guildhalls, pubs and saloons, joy houses and baths, mines, farms, and/or other resources. They, as well as the stellar ports and parks, are governed under the aegis of Nejiro's Parliament - Stellar Affairs Ministry (Minister Ram Santosh) as special wards and function similarly to free cities or chartered villages depending on scale. Some of the more well known mining outposts mostly located on asteroids of which there are more than six million in system that mine a variety of resources including basalt, helium, platinum, lead, barium, silicates, magnesium, nickel, iron, carbon, chondrites, gold, silver, quicksilver, tungsten, cobalt, osmium, iridium, zirconium, yttrium, strontium, rhodium, tin, gemstones, crystals, salts, gases, aluminum, organic materials, titanium, water etc., are **Rockhound, Pitmans Rest, Blossom Rock, Hanging Wall, Country Rock, Greenstone, Rockbolt, Calico, Tuatara, Harmony, Ace High, Daisy, Brave Depths, Centurion, The Dark, Grouter, The Laughing Dogs, and Kedge.**   Some of the more well known science stations are **Shen Kuo, Varahamira, Acme Research Collective, the Cyclops Space Telescope, the Hydra Space Telescope, Starlight Labs, Alhazen, Seishu, Pingala, Menaechmus, Freese, Sau Lan Wa, Lonsdale, Hutchins, Galileo, Thales, and Beagle** where there are a variety of studies, experiments, and development taking place in astronomy, agriculture, astrophysics, weapon development, vacuum energy, crystal growth (for computing, electronics, and power storage), medical instruments (handheld and portable imaging and diagnostics), pharmacology (multiaction antibodies, pain blocks, anasthesia, paralytics, sexual function, neuro-divergent therapies, biochemical processing), enhancing photosynthesis, solar liquid fuel, non-petroleum plastics development, robots, nanotechnology, cybernetics, bionics, neural interfaces, repulsar technology, hard light research, artificial gills, development of biomaterials for tissue engineering, development of natural language processing in real time, super elastic alloy development, electrochemical energy storage, engineered protein films foradhesion, lubrication, and sensing applications, microRNA treatments, drawn on skin bioelectroics in development for medical diagnostics, fitness tracking, and athlete performance tracking. All the habitable planets and moons in the Nejiro system have experimental farms, resource surveys, scientific expeditions, agricultural and scientific studies of flora and fauna, and/or scientific field studies of everything from geology to meteorology. To safeguard important resources, all manned expeditions have armed security attached to them. There are also several studies being conducted by drones and robotic rovers, many of which are also armed.  Jovian, the seventh planet in the Nejiro system, is a gas giant of mostly hydrogen and helium with four rings and two trojan clusters of asteroids. It also has thirty three moons, two of which are habitable. **Tabernas** is semi-arid with almost no observable surface water, little rainfall, and sparse surface vegetation. Most of the life on the planet can be found in caverns or caves with access to underground water surfaces (natural wells and cisterns, aquifers, rivers, and lakes). **Kilcoole** is subartic and largely covered with glaciers. Its average temperature is negative forty six degrees celsius which may drop to lows of negative one hundred twenty eight degrees celsius, or climb to a balmy fifteen degrees celsius during its short summers.  Luxury Standard Deaqon James The outermost moon of Jovian, Hebe is a dense rocky airless spheroid six thousand seven hundred ninety four kilometers in diameter, with a gravity of four point seven meters per second squared outside the geodesic transmetal domes. The first houses the most exclusive yacht club for Nejiro's wealthiest adventurers. The Corinthian Yacht Club is located on a hill overlooking the other dome, its five hundred ha grounds include the expansive clubhouse, and a private marina of one hundred thirty airlocked elevator berths with maintenance and repair facilities. Membership of this exclusive, private club extends to over seven hundred resident and nonresident members. The clubhouse boasts a fine display of memorabilia - trophies, exhibition models, paintings and photographs compete for the attention of the curious visitor. The successful applicant is welcomed with an ice breaking cocktail party and a gala dinner in their honor. The clubhouse was recently redesigned by renowned architect Foster Norman and stands out as a distinctive building on its own. The elegant futuristic facade looks out over Port Fortuna with phenomenal views of Jovian, its rings and moons. Now included in the clubhouse is a sumptuous shopping arcade overflowing with designer boutiques, and state of the art function and conference rooms large enough to accomodate a wedding party, business meeting, or anniversary bash - possibly all three at once, should you wish. The sales offices of a number of prominent yacht chartering and yacht building companies are located nearby the marina should you fancy a cruise. The exclusive environs of the Casino Bellona regularly plays host to the star studded Izar Poker Tour in May, which in its most recent tournament awarded an eighty seven million c-bill prize, with eighteen million c-bills going to the winner Aaron Zang. The Bellona is also the exclusive host to the very popular and crowd pleasing Golden Cage MMA Tournament throughout the month of June, which is televised throughout the Izar Cluster. With over thirty percent of the population composed of multimillionaires, you could find yourself rubbing shoulders with some very influential folk indeed. and maybe a Bond villain or two, to boot.     Odin, the tenth planet in the Nejiro system is the largest gas giant in the system with eight rings and forty two moons. Three of these moons are habitable: **Nettaiurin** is a land-locked world of a thick foggy atmosphere and a humid tropical climate completely covered in jungles, wetlands, rivers, lakes, and rainforests, its wildlife consists mostly of large insectoids, reptilians, and avians, **Juichi** is a cool arid desert world mostly covered in sands, with an average daytime temperature of fourteen degrees celsius, its mountainous with several inland seas, and **Kaiyo** is an aqua world with water hundreds of kilometers deep that generates many strong typhoons each year some that cover more than half of the moons surface. There is very little landmass, only sparse 'islands' and atolls that are actually the peaks of sea mountains and volcanoes. Adventurous tourists come here for surfing, diving, and sailing. There are also a few submerged scientific and residential habitats, and several submersible vehicles that conduct oceanographic research and resource surveys.      **Midori** the eighth planet in the Nejiro system, a green verdant world with an easily breathable atmosphere, large bodies of fresh water, and standard gravity. It is mostly temperate, with a high chlorophyll content in its flora and oceans. But caution, scientists and agriculturists have recommended that any long term stays include water filter supplies and prepackaged food sources, due to the high acid content of the water (average ph of six), and the heavy metal and mineral presence (mercury, zinc, cadmium, and arsenic) in the soil, flora, and fauna. They also recommend future settlements raise their agriculture in domes. **Glace** is the ninth and last habitable planet in the Nejiro system. It is a cold world, mostly subarctic, roughly three times the size of Terra and classified as a heavy gravity world (1.6g). It is deep in an ice age cycle and glaciers cover more than seventy percent of its surface, including large parts of the salty oceans. A small area spreading from the equatorial plane is glacier free, but is still cold and snow covered throughout the long winters and most of the spring, during which the planet generates a lot of weather systems and enormous storms, due to its twenty eight degree axial tilt and seismic activity. At the equator its mountains are densely covered in coniferous forests and a surprisingly high degree of mammalian fauna. Adventurous  tourists come, usually in the summer to challenge themselves on the mountains (climbing, skiing, cycling, camping, and hiking), or to relax and bask on the beaches or sail in the warm summer sun.  **Pluoton** is one of Jovian's largest moons with a rocky body that is mountainous and cratered, with no atmosphere, and a similar gravity to Nejiro (slightly less at 8.9m/s2 vs Nejiro's 10.8 m/s2). It has had mines operating for centuries (it was first established as a classified resource of the Terran Alliance Navy in 2219 during the Third Alliance Grand Survey) and is rich in metals and minerals, and is projected to be for millennia. The Free (domed) City of Pluoton has seven large domes (mines - entrances and offices, agriculture, industry - refining and processing, administration and commerce, recreation, residences, and port) and several dozen smaller domes plus several underground and orbital habitats. These are managed, operated, and governed cooperatively by the local Koichizoku Elders (Corvae, Yamana, Teck, Barrick, Sugano, Rokuda, Kase, Yap, Erdeli, Tsaplin, Xu, Wen, Durchenko, Ciar, Moon, Zhang, Seagha) and the Pluoton City Council led by elected Mayor Iskander Endika Moon. The mines (which produce carbons, platinum, iron, iridium, nickel, cobalt, hydrogen, ammonia, gold, copper, rare earths, silicates, iridium, palladium, magnesium, basalt and other elements) have created a labyrinth of numerous maze-like structures under the surface of the moon. There is a local resident population of approximately two million, which swells occaisionally with prospectors, students, and tourists. The Pluoton Militia, the Hadesu no Ryoken {hounds of hades} commanded by Ivan Subutai, is a large cooperative combined armed self-defense force (with a very aggressive space defense of small craft, armed drones and satellites, and aerospace fighters that are very prone to shoot down unauthorized vehicles and ships entering their space) that is operated by the collaborative resources of the Pluoton Koichizoku instead of small individual militias. It operates out of Sokutsu Fort, the original base of the Devil Dogs PMC (who still maintain facilities here). The NPO Celestial Patrol also maintains several towers and other facilities here on the moon. The Treasure Box maintains museum quality archives, histories, artifacts, and other educational materials from the geological and cultural past of Pluoton from its founding to its future. Also on Pluoton: _Technora_, headquartered on Pluoton, is a publicly traded multi-division corporation (1,653 Ryu per share) (its majority of shares held by the Pluoton Koichizoku - Yukari Corvae holds the Chairmans seat on the Board and Eryk Kase is the CEO) that includes mining, security, heavy industrial fabrication, manufacture of dropships (one to three civilian class to custom spec every five to seven years),manufacture of small craft and aerospace combat vehicles, refining and processing minerals, metals, and chemicals, the maintenance, storage, refit, resupply, and repair of small craft and dropships, manufacture of sealed combat and civilian vehicles, offers technical and engineering support services, operates stellar dockyards and marinas, operates stellar cargo and passenger services, operates stellar sightseeing and cruising tours, manufacture of heavy space capable mining equipment, manufacture of industrial and mining mechs, manufacture of  remote operated vehicles, manufacture of EXO and EVA suits, manufacture of space and other hazardous environment suits. Most well known of the divisions is the Debris Section - that prevents damage and destruction of satellites, stations, orbital paths, and spacecraft from debris using a number of methods including collection and pushing it through the gas giant atmospheres, and also recycling salvage accomplished through the use of personnel in EVA suits and modified space capable mining and industrial mechs deployed from small craft and _Leopard_ class dropships, also collection by small remote operated vehicles, and small preprogrammed vehicles similar to Roomba that follow orbital paths and space lanes. Also well known is the Traders Section which handles much of the exportation of the raw and processed Pluoton Mines production. _Anjou Military Academy_ - 'character matters here' - a coed military boarding school that teaches cadets from middle school through college level classes and has optional summer classes, sports camps, and pilot learner programs (small craft and other aerospace ships). It prepares young cadets for life by fostering mental, physical, and spiritual growth. There are spiritual philosophy classes exploring perception, morality, wisdom, and harmony. There is rigorous academic instruction which focuses on the foundations of knowledge needed for critical thinking, learning skills, and leadership development, with an additional emphasis on physical activity and sports that promotes self confidence and instills an appreciation for fitness and teamwork. This focus on the whole person builds leaders of character prepared for life long success in the military or otherwise. The university also keeps the largest print and digital library in system, with more than fifty million works.    _Skylark Communications_ - the oldest civilian telecomm in the stellar system, established shortly after the first mining operations on Pluoton and Naiba Showakusei-tai were producing significant results in the twenty third century, currently they provide secure consumer, commercial, and industrial communications through proprietary satellite technology, that is available throughout the stellar system. They offer wireless smartphone services on terrestrial bodies, satellites, stations, and habitats. They manufacture the Jiyuna {free, unfettered} line of foldable smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets (sizes from five to nine hundred centimeters available). They have their own chip foundry, and manufacture a wide array of communication technology from microphones, to fiber optic cable to satellites. They have the most cutting edge research and development division in the system and are a leading developer of low orbit man-portable satellites. A publicly traded company recently valued at 1,779 Ryu per share. Their logo is a murmuration that resembles a bird in flight.    _Anvil_ - occupies their own dome on Pluoton with labs, farms, factories, and residences. They make handcrafted tools, transparent metals, metal alloys, ceramic compounds, industrial and commercial textiles. They own major stakes in several stellar mines and quarries. (publicly traded at 68.3 Ryu per share)    _Stratos_ - stellar charter offering scheduled and private passenger and cargo services to all ports in system (public company currently valued at 35.61 Ryu per share)      _Pluoton Community Garden_ - 'ponic farms that raise oxygenating and filtering plants, butterflies, ladybugs, bees, grains, shellfish, fish, sea greens, coral, beans, garden vegetables, fruits, nuts, tubers, herbs, chicken, pheasant, and operates relaxation gardens and aquariums    _Spectrum_ - manufactures industrial and commercial cutting, welding,and drilling lasers, cold lasers for medical therapy and surgery, optical lasers for photography, holography, lidar, and scanners, vehicle mounted laser weapons, man-portable laser weapons, laser firearms    _Ginger_ - manufactures solar energy systems, solar rechargers, hydrogen fuel cells, single use and rechargeable power cells and packs for use in everything from gadgets and toys to weapons    **Axcis** asteroid S428, is a resource mining base with two grav decks in the outer belt of the Nejiro system. It is an umbrella shaped rocky asteroid that is 337.5 km tall and 1225 km in diameter at its widest point with no atmosphere and little gravity of its own. It is headquarters to the Argos Odyssey Survey Project.  **Yokonamy** is a large dwarf planetoid in the outer belt of the Nejiro system, that is mostly hollow. The inside, accessible from large impact sites and craters on its surface (big enough to fit some dropship classes and small craft, is geodesic with immense crystals thousands of meters high with several hollow spaces suitable for ship construction, docks, and repair bays. It is just under 1932 km in diameter with no atmosphere and due to its low mass its gravity is just .33 meters per second squared. There are habitat and factory accommodations for fabrication and industrial projects, offices, assayers, material science labs, workshops, and residences. Ekashiba has labs, workshops, and factories here manufacturing carbon nanotube superconductors and other similar materials. Technora has shipyards here that construct aerospace drones, small craft, and satellites (energy, military, and communication). There are also independent prospectors and survey companies.  **Cockatoo** asteroid N186 in the inner belt of the Nejiro system, is of irregular shape and twenty two hundred kilometers at its widest diameter with negligible gravity and no atmosphere. But it is in a central location to a large number of mining facilities and as such has numerous independent spacedocks and repair bays for mining vehicles and equipment. There are also some small craft yards, salvage yards, refining and processing centers, and a residential habitat with four grav decks built around the center of the asteroid, with several guildhalls, warehouses and factories, two dropship bays, a bazaar, an NPO Celestial Patrol Tower, and a contingent of NDT Space Marines.    **Fenwick** N3986 is a dense rocky asteroid in Nejiro's inner belt with mining operations and a small industrial park, Sparks. It is irregularly shaped, 993 km at its widest diameter, 147 km long, with a gravity of one point three meters per second squared.  **Surebleak** rock asteroid N17423 in Nejiro's inner belt, has two industrial parks Clyde Park and Mineral Ridge, a small port, prospectors and mining guilds, mining operations, and several independent docks and repair bays accessible to both dropships and small craft.  It is irregularly shaped, 1058 km in diameter at its widest point, 306 km long, and gravity of one point five meters per second squared.       **Montana Peak** rock asteroid N487 in Nejiro's inner belt is irregularly shaped, has large deposits of iron, chromium, nickel, silicon, and carbon. It is 1356 km in diameter at its widest area, 592 km long, with a gravity of one point seven meters per second squared. The private industrial park manufactures industrial equipment, industrial tools and machines, industrial robotics, industrial mechs parts and mechatronics, exosuits and exoframes. There are also machinist shops, three dimensional printing and construction shops, materials labs, and research and development labs. The habitats make use of inertial dampeners to have the ability to vary gravity in lab spaces and factories. There are two docking collars and three small craft bays. It employs its own armed security force, Bluestar Security. **Samovar** rock asteroid N990863 is irregularly shaped and 527 km in diameters at its widest and 108 km long, with gravity of one point three meters per second squared. There are two converted _Aqueduct_ class dropships (permanently docked to the asteroid with docking collars), which contain standard and experimental ponic farms, factories, labs, and residences. There are three additional docking collars on the asteroid itself, as well as several small craft bays, a small yard that does repairs and small craft conversions, and a rescue and salvage station attached to an emergency medical clinic with several small craft MASH and ambulances. There are also habitats, warehouses, and mining facilities tunneled into the asteroid. A somewhat frequent visitor found here is the '_Cher Ami_' hospital dropship. It is operated by the Kokkyo Nashi {without borders} a charitable medical organization begun by the Sakamura Koichizoku who with the assistance of grants and charitable donations purchased a scrapped _Condor_ class dropship and had it repaired and converted into something remarkably like a _Dove_ class dropship by Technora. The ship mainly operates in and around the Naiba Showakusei-tai in cooperation with the Golden Hour Shock Trauma Center and the Sakamura Rescue PMC, as well as the NDT Space Marines and the NPO Celestial Patrol. **Gonggong** {chinese water god} is a dwarf planet in Nejiro's outer belt with a very thin toxic atmosphere generated out of vents on the frozen surface from pockets of frozen liquid gases in its crust. It is 1180 km in diameter and has a surface gravity of .31 meters per second squared. There are active mining operations here for helium, xenon, nitrogen, carbon, copper, and rhodium. **Selene**, Nejiro's inner moon, a rocky body with a gravity one third of Nejiro's (3.6 meters per second squared), large icy poles with liquid water under the surface, a thin but breathable atmosphere, and an equatorial circumference of 21842 km. It is approximately five hundred thousand kilometers from Nejiro. There are several starports on this moon, Mene Limani is a full service port for stellar traffic. Opal Port only accepts cruise liner and yacht traffic. It is not far from the popular sight seeing destinations of Kirameki Yama {shimmer mountains}, (named for their shining iridescent surfaces, due to their mineral and crystalline properties), and the Dragon Eye Well, a frozen mineral lake at the bottom of an eight hundred meter crater. Opal Port also has the best views of Nejiro's outer moon **Hinatea**, a rocky body just one hundred and fifty thousand kilometers from Selene, with a bright yellow-orange and deep black surface from its extremely active sulfur and silica volcanoes. There are 'two' interstellar commercial starports, Ebon Port and Starside Port, overseen by the Stellar Affairs Ministry Customs Service. Between and underneath them are a labyrinth of warehouses and storage tanks that processes thousands of tons of goods, also overseen by the Stellar Affairs Ministry Customs Service. Eques Fort is where the Nejiro Defense Troop Space Marines and the Nejiro Peace Officers Celestial Patrol have bases, as well as the Phoenix Mercantile Marines. MAWS {Marine Advanced Warfare Schools} also maintains training facilities at the fort (instructing space marines, combat aerospace pilots, and outerspace combat engineers). This moon is also home to several guard gated communities, industrial parks, and domed agricultural areas, as well as Mayu {cocoon} a company researching and experimenting in terraforming and artificial gravity processes.    **Hebe** is the outermost moon of Jovian. It is a dense rocky airless spheroid six thousand seven hundred and ninety four kilometers in diameter, with a gravity 4.711 meters per second squared outside of the domes, which maintain slightly less than a standard gravity via inertial dampeners. It is home to a number of very exclusive guard gated communities and to The Corinthian Yacht Club and Port Fortuna. This moons orbital traffic path is very popular for its spectacular views of the Jovian ring system and its moons, the local regattas, the Naiba Showakusei-tai, as well as Nejiro and its moons.  **Traders Trust** a financial institution that acts as a bank, mint, and exchange. It only deals in rare and prescious metals. Its headquarters (founded 2218) are on Pluoton, the outermost moon of Jovian in the Nejiro system. Its primary facility is in underground habitats, storage spaces, processing facilities, and vaults on **Daphne**, asteroid N71415 a small spherical rocky body of just thirty one kilometers in diameter with no atmosphere and gravity less than a twelfth that of Nejiro located somewhere 'close' to the Senri-hin in the inner asteroid belt. They also operate satellite offices spread out among the moons, asteroids, ports, and stations of the Nejiroan stellar system and a number of highly secured outposts in locations throughout the Sphere.  **Soko A1 - Z26** {warehouse} asteroids and satellites in the inner and outer belts of the Nejiro stellar system that are utilized for secure individually climate controlled storage of non-perishables of all descriptions. Storage is available from small bank box style sizes to giant vaults and even whole facilities. Operations and services are provided by Pure Storage who also provide secure transportation of your valued items to and from their facilities.  **Shukei** {tally} is an asteroid based secure climate controlled remote operated data center with linked secure satellite communications network that reaches the entire Nejiroan stellar system. It occupies more than eight hundred thousand square meters and is owned and operated by the Digital Reality Trust, a Crown Corporation that serves tech companies, schools, engineers, scientists, and government. It is powered by solar generators and Hajimiri facilities. **Cyclops** a rocky airless asteroid with negligible gravity in the outer belt of the Nejiro stellar system. Its surface has the largest constructed radio and optical telescopes in the system. **Shadow** a maximum security prison for as many as five hundred prisoners, housed in five separate compounds, located on an airless asteroid with negligible gravity in the Sotugawa Showakusei-tai, with both orbital facilities and habitats on the asteroid.    **Minerva** is Nejiro's first space habitat; there are now several in system - **Luna**, **Arcadia**, **Ukiyo** {floating world} (the Nejiro stellar system's premier 'Red Light' community), **Plutus** (mining resource and geology habitat), **Saxe** (agricultural habitat) - and more under construction. The hab was built in system and sits at the stellar system L4. It is a modified O'Neill Cylinder with over sixty thousand residents. The double cylindrical colony is six point four kilometers in diameter and thirty six kilometers in length. Each cylinder rotates, to maintain 1G, along its axis once per minute in a radius of five hundred meters in opposite directions, connected at each end by a rod via a bearing system. Each interior is divided into six lengthwise strips, three window sections which let in sunlight, alternating with three land sections where people live and work (in Minerva's case mostly science and technology). The station has two grav decks and three small craft bays. It carries a crew of approximately three hundred astronauts, scientists, technicians, engineers, meteorologists, space marines, and support personnel for revolving six and twelve month tours. **Pluoton Emporia** is a customized _Leviathan_ class jumpship that maintains a stationary orbit just outside of Pluoton's gravity well. The jumpship was captured during operations carried out by the Phoenix Mercantile Marines to eradicate a pirate collective preying on the Pluoton mining colony. The damaged jumpship was gifted to the colony as part of the Phoenix Mercantile negotiations with Pluoton Metals and the colony. It was Technora, over the next decade or so, that made major repairs, conversions, and customizations that include five standard grav decks, two low grav decks, ten dropship collars, six cargo bays, six small craft bays with repair facilities, an aerospace-fighter bay, triple the crew complement, twice the passenger quarters, and installed additional armor and weapons. It has six thousand tons of ore processing equipment and maintains its weapons and armor diligently. **Shirudo** {shield} is a _Pavise_ class space station located near the inner asteroid belt of the Kiiro no Hoshi 5467 stellar system in a station keeping orbit following its inner curve near a standard system jump point, with windows to Nejiro and Jovian, one of the few remnants in the system of the Terran Hegemony. The station has two grav decks, a section that may accommodate up to three hundred visitors and a public market, twelve dropship collars, and two cargo bays that have a combined capacity of two hundred thousand tons. The command and repair yard now functions mostly as commercial docks, repair yards with pressurized bays capable of handling up to eight hundred thousand tons, customs and stellar traffic control. Many of its ARTS drone fighter bays have been converted to aerospace and small craft bays (but not all), but its weapons and armor are intact and maintained diligently. It is home to a MAWS training facility, and has a detachment of Nejiro Defense Troop Space Marines and an NPO Celestial Patrol office. **Stardust Industrial Park**    Located on asteroid 583 Strekoza, an ellipse shaped object with a radius of 1574 kilometers, with no atmosphere and gravity just seventeen percent of Nejiro.
