Jasmine: We know this is a training mission ahead of time, but the idea is to treat it as a real mission. There are two things I want to be done in this mission. Jasmine displays the request for someone to put people on top of tall buildings. Jasmine: And the first lines up with this. Indigo, I want a spotter squad of BA on 2 buildings that have good vantage points. We haven't dropped troops on top of a building in recent memory, normally in woods or on the ground. So this should be more fun. One of the buildings will be picked by Kiah's Hammers, the other by Marceau. Indigo: I have a feeling there's something else coming up. Jasmine: You would be correct. But we will get to that in a moment. Next up. Chrys is going to be grouped into a lance with other mechs in the same movement bracket. Also likely to have jump jets, but we can't say for sure yet. Your task will be to use them 3 times, but only when it would make sense. Three times might be a lot for how long the mission is, and you are unlikely to hit anything if you try and fire at the same time. Jasmine glances at Chrysanthemum and smiles slightly at her bulging eyes. Jasmine: So afterwards we will review the mission, and if you fall short of three, and there is a time you should have used them, then you will get hit with the penalty. Indigo: Ah yes, penalty. Jasmine holds up her hand to Indigo and continues: Marceau, your task will be to not have someone repeat themself. I know your Japanese is questionable still, but a training mission is the perfect place to practice communicating. While on mission the vocab is pretty limited, and you have a recorder to play things back. My task will be to get to medium range with a weapon if possible. Marceau: Seeing you get to close to medium range makes me think your mech has a stalling problem. Jasmine: Ulam hasn't ruled that out. *Ahem* as for the penalties. Jasmine: If Indigo fails, he will hold a catered lunch with each team in the OpFor to discuss how they would have done that task. Including some sake. To make it a challange. Jasmine: Chrysanthemum, I don't really have a good idea. But plenty of bad ones. We'll start with you being a passager in your mech as Clover takes it for a spin. He misses his Hermes, and wanted to get some running practice in. Jasmine: Marceau, you are getting better than Ulam at Japanese, but he still needs help when Dahlia is at school. Indigo: The three of us will line up with baseball launchers like from a batting cage. Then she will have to use a suit of infantry armor, and she has to get close enough to touch one of them while we get in some target practice. Jasmine: That's fair.
