## Overview A mixed Fukushu PMC platoon called for help after encountering a bandit force. GSF elements responded, cleared the area of bandits and escorted the Hayashi militia patrol to safety. The GSF response cleared the area, escorted the militia to safety and recovered several armored units. Loyalty Forsaken, Dragon's Clutch, Road's Warriors and Winter's Dream were held near base in case the raiders attempted follow-up attacks. The ComGuard and Ghost units worked effectively with local forces to rescue the patrol. The operation highlighted some organizational issues among small militia patrols; the report suggests considering consolidation of small patrols into larger family units (Dai Ichizoku) to improve survivability and coordination. I am glad to be working with the Ironborn on the new contract. ## Additional notes (archival raw text) This mission the GSF had to rescue a patrol from Koichizoku Hayashi. Why they had such a small unit doing this patrol is beyond me. Two (2) light combat vehicles with only two (2) platoons of support are looking for problems they cannot handle with all the heavy equipment our foes are using. Many of these small groups should be folded into the different Dai Ichizoku. They do not have the resources to take of the areas they are responsible for. The few units that the GSF could send out did well in driving off these raiders and finding this lost patrol unit before the raiders did major damage to them. The ComGuard and Ghost units sent out were of help to the GSF. Having the GSF help out and get some time with one of the Koichizoku units I hope will help start working relations for all of the different families on world. Having ComGuard and Ghost units as part of this mission will show that they are also here to help protect the people. With both Ghost and ComGuard units working to protect the people is will make is easier to let both settle here as they both have shown interest in doing do when things settle down. I see that the GSF still needs some help with understanding some basic battle tactics when it comes to SAR in combat. They need to get units to the different search areas faster. The have fast units dropping search units to close to them and the slower units take too long to get to the areas further away from the entry point of the search area. With time I hope they will fix this. After reading this report I am glad that I am working with the Ironborn on the new contract.
