## Summary Recon in the Cypress Basin found bandit field emplacements and patrol craft; muddy conditions slowed mechs and limited mobility. November of 3067 ## Quests / Report Working from intel gathered from prisoners captured after the Stark Heavy Industries incident, we deployed a recon force into the Cypress Basin with local guides. The guides warned that communications would be limited to approximately 720 meters and the terrain would severely hamper mech mobility; the mud forced all 'mech units to move very slowly. During the reconnaissance a ComGuard element moved to investigate an old building while Kiah's Hammers probed the wooded area on the left and The Hands of the Goddess provided aerial support. Patrol craft from Clan Tikhonovich entered the area and were initially challenged; no immediate hostile action occurred. Shortly afterwards four bandit hovercraft entered from the seaside and exchanged fire with the Tikhonovich patrol and bandit field emplacements. The Warrior, a patrol boat and one light hovercraft withdrew due to damage. The bandits loaded infantry and field guns onto transport hovercraft and withdrew with two light hovercraft.
