## Summary Unknown forces burned fields outside Tarawa; a multi-force engagement revealed possible false IFF codes and complex crossfire. November of 3067 ## Quests / Report An attack force landed on Yasei no Sogen outside of Tarawa and set fire to the surrounding fields. Satellite netting spotted the fires and movement, prompting us to send combat units to investigate. Our forces encountered a lance of battlemechs and advanced to engage. When challenged for identification the enemy claimed to be an Inner Sphere Federation security unit and provided an I.S.F. code. The code was technically valid but not authorized for this area of operations, according to the I.S.F. liaison attached to the marine regiment on world. After the identification issue could not be resolved the battle commenced. Our forces pushed the enemy away from Tarawa and toward the edge of the operation area assigned to Clan Khee.
