## Summary Privateers raided Hilo hitting a bank and an electronics factory. Explosions caused extensive damage and a heavy response by mercenary and ComGuard forces. October of 3067 ## Quests / Report Bandit forces raided the city of Hilo. They struck a bank and the old electronics factory, and the resulting skirmishes produced large explosions and significant structural damage. The Merc forces responded rapidly, but transport difficulties nearly placed units inside city buildings inadvertently. Eagle's Tears were first on scene and engaged the raiders, followed by Kiah's Hammers, Ironborn, and The Hands of the Goddess as reinforcements arrived. The bandits drove jeeps through building doorways to gain entry and looted parked vehicles outside the factory, moving toward the weapons plant. An Eagle's Tears unit engaged one of the trucks, which exploded, triggering a nearby propane tank and causing further massive damage to surrounding structures including the electronics lab. During the operation a Packrat LRPV and a Skulker Scout Tank entered the city heading for the weapons factory while bandits at the bank stole approximately 1.7 million K-Bills. Elements from Kiah's Hammers and Marik forces moved to the weapons plant to intercept the Packrat and Skulker. Ironborn and The Hands of the Goddess moved to intercept the bulk of the bandit force on the opposite side of the city; these exchanges produced little tactical gain. Ultimately the bandits and unknown accomplices withdrew from the area. The Merc forces shifted to humanitarian response, setting up first aid stations with local personnel and opening the nearby hotel for the wounded. Recovery will require substantial repair to the hospital and blast zone; the ComGuard has offered an engineering team to assist.
