## Summary Someone is operating in the mountains not far from the base you just moved into. Root them out. September of 3067 ## Quests / Report After a recon flight spotted personal moving in and out of a group of mountains not far from the base just taken our Mercs took some ground units to see what was going on. They found an entrance to what turned out to be a large group of tunnels and chambers in the mountain. Someone was using this as a training base for infantry. The Mercs moved in with Battle Armor and Foot Infantry. At first nothing happened and they moved in. After about 5 minutes they came across some crates and drums. These items turned out to have small arms, food and water in them. Moving further into the tunnels they found more crates that had support weapons, SRM’s and ammo. At this point they spotted personal moving around some of the crates. A fire fight broke out and one group gave up. The other group fought on for a while. After three of the second group troopers were killed the four that were left tried to run for it and were taken prisoner. Our Mercs pushed deeper into the tunnel system and found more supplies and a much larger group. The scouts held back until the main force catch up. Some were between the time they were spotted and the main body could get to that spot the other force moved out. Moving with care our Mercs checked out the rest of the cave/tunnel system. They did find were the force got out of the caves but could not follow.
